for e.g. when commenting, I always strive to put myself into the shoes of the author, then into the shows of the reader… then back into my shoes… I have to understand what the author says within his article, then what readers might ask, or wonder about… and compare that with my own experience with the topic covered inside…
I do this exercise a few times… why? because before I start writing I need to know with almost 100% accuracy, the answer to this question: “so what?”
